Kevin and I want to wish all you fans out there, noobs and old-timers alike, a happy 47th birthday today! We've still got a heck of a long way to go on our journey, but we're confident it'll be an exciting one, and hope you all stick with us.
You have one dedicated listener eager to see what your thoughts are on the upcoming episodes. As a special treat consdering you made it this far, I can give you one fan made video that will not have any spoilers. A fan on youtube called Babelcolour put together a trailer for The Beginings box set that contained the first three stories that you covered. In his own words:
"I love William Hartnell's era as the Doctor. What more appropriate trailer for a First Doctor fan could there be than to start at the very beginning - the very birth of the show in 1963. It's a trailer for the very first three stories, now available to buy on BBC DVD in 'The Beginning' boxset."

I really enjoyed his work and it is a shame you can't watch more of his work just yet.
Guess what? I've seen every single existing episode of Doctor Who (and reconstructions of the missing ones) except for Marco Polo. As I was finishing watching all the episodes, I purposely decided to wait on Marco Polo and watch it episode by episode as you two cover it, just so I can be a new watcher along with you guys. Keep up the good work. Enjoying your podcast.
By the way, I was kinda bummed when you guys took a few weeks off during Marco Polo. I was tempted to just go ahead and finish the remaining episodes but thought better of it and decided to wait those few weeks. Glad you guys continued on.
Yes, just took a look at the email now, thanks! Reason for the delay this time is I've had my hands full the past few weeks with an out-of-town stage production, so recording of new episodes is on pause, and Doug's been busy with life lately whilst trying to finish editing the last episode so it's ready for upload. I kinda anticipated this might happen a couple months back which is why I posted the delay notice specifically asking to "bear with us for the next couple months." :-)
Now I'm getting worried. After the premature death of Cadmium2, I would hate to see the only other podcast that looks at Doctor Who chronologically go by the wayside. We anal Doctor Who fans need you!
Have no fear, Who Noobs WILL return. It's just been a very busy time for both of us, but we're hoping to get back into the swing of things as soon as possible. We appreciate everyone's patience... or lack thereof. :)
As a worker in retail, I understand the busy aspect of this time of year but I figured you would be back eventually. Seems like your comments on the Doctor, you two are having a difficult time flying the Tardis as well :P. Until we hear that familiar sound of the Tardis returning, Merry Chrismas and Happy New Year to the Who Noobs.

I don't think it has any spoilers per se.
Sorry to say this mcguffin, but there are a few spoilers in this, even as funny as it was to watch. They mention the "R" word for one thing.
ReplyDeleteI hope you two are back soon but this is the holiday season. I'll keep looking in hope of a new podcast and I hope you recieved my email.
