  1. Nice job with a tricky episode! I've only ever seen the 30-minute reconstruction of the full serial, so this is going to be very interesting to me. Keep it up!

  2. Do you plan on watching/listening to the individual episodes, either audios or recons?

  3. Well, I found some recons on Youtube and I'm going to check those out. I can't even find the audios for purchase or download (at least not at any site I'd want to download anything from).

  6. I again am impressed at the knowledge you had but not surprised since you mentioned about the loose cannon recon which I loved due to the fact that they colorized the black and white photos since there was so many color photos taken. That early piece with Mark Eden contained some wonderful info and as you guessed the previous story had money taken from it due this story arcs elaborate sets and costumes. I would love for this story to be found purely for that reason alone.

On to some story points. The mountain sickness that the Doctor was suffering from is something that happens to people at higher altitudes. I am not certain what its medical name is but you will often hear of it affecting people, especially those who dare climb mount everest. The Doctors age plays a part in why he is affected so quickly as well.

The next episode is is the Singing Sands, that was not a mispoken line or typo to my knowledge(Even though I was wrong on some things in the past lol If I am wrong please let me know).

Do not let any fan discourage you from watching the historicals, although I am certain you will watch them anyway as I did. I am sure you will have your opinion on them as you listen to more and overall they are a mixed bag. The main thing about them is you are dealing with actual history, some are more tied into certain events while others are set in a non specific era, aka let's say you decide to write a story about the doctor being in eygpt during the time of the pharoahs. This particular historical deals with a known histrical figure.

I am interested if you might post the links to the recons you watched or tell us where you found them. I saw the Loose Cannon recon but never saw the one narated by William Russell.

I also have a growing list of questions for the two of you. I will post them on the facebook page and I hope you might add a discusion area to it. Two other doctor who facebook groups have a wall and discussions area but yours does not. I never bothered with creating a group on facebook, never had the interest, but having one would prove useful to your podcast as it grows in size. (My lord I am ending up with huge posts ;p)

  7. The William Russell narration is what was released on the CD version of Marco Polo. Some reconstructions use this audio, while others use the "clean" audio.

Last month, Facebook totally revamped their Group feature to the one you see now. The old groups are still there, but you can't create new ones like that anymore. I'm not sure I like it, however.
